Kavi Kumar, a resident of Bakhri in Begusarai, was murdered by criminals by crushing him with a Scorpio car in the campus of AN College on Boring Road in Patna. After this murder, people were seen protesting on the streets from Begusarai to Patna to get justice for student Kavi Kumar. But, nothing happened in the Kavi Kumar murder case. Kavi Kumar’s father Dharmendra Kumar Sah is completely broken after the murder of his son. He is wandering from door to door for justice. On the question of ‘Amar Ujala’, Dharmendra has told that the murder took place in Patna on 28 December and now you are asking me questions on 28 May, so the answer is only one that till date Bihar Police has not caught the people who killed my beloved son. The poet had told everything before dying
Amar Ujala tried to reach the SK Puri police station in-charge physically and also through mobile calls, messages and WhatsApp. There was no response from him. Kavi Kumar’s father had asked to check the status of the case on the government website. When we checked it, there was no update on the progress of five months. Kavi Kumar’s statement before his death was definitely found. In it, the poet had given a recorded statement to the police that “I was sitting near the science block in the campus of AN College, when a Scorpio car crushed me with the intention of killing me.” The special thing is that the police also had the video of this incident. The car used in the murder was also recovered from the spot. But, the police could not reach the criminals in five months. Kavi’s father says – “The police did nothing after this murder. The murderers are roaming freely. Nothing was done beyond filing the FIR, whereas I have appealed for justice at every level demanding the arrest of the criminal. Till now the police is not informing about filing the charge sheet.”
